Highspeed Building Central Control Unit [j]bow

Highspeed Building Central Control Unit [j]bow

With a direct connection to the LCN-coupler module, the building central control unit [j]bow allows the creation of complex control programs for the LCN-bus. An easy to learn programming language provides the building technician with countless commands via an editor for the realization of complex applications for the LCN-bus.

Commands in the scripting languages Phyton or PHP can be directly taken over for LCN control by users familiar with these languages. Easy to understand programming examples help to demonstrate the script-controlled access to sensors and actuators from the LCN world.

All progam commands are available in the German language. The building central control unit [j]bow integrates all LCN modules completely into existing WLAN/network structures. With a webbrowser, all scripts for the LCN-bus can be generated and run on any computer in the network. With a corresponding configuration of the router, [j]bow can also be run via the Internet. Alternatively, [j]bow can be activated with a console, a monitor or a touchscreen to become a fully-fledged building control system.

In the [j]bow personnel version, up to 20 LCN modules and 80 programs can be run. [j]bow allows the administration of any large-scale LCN installations any many programs. Limitations only arise from available memory space, bus demand, and bus topology.

The Highspeed Building Central Control Unit [j]bow combines functions from the IP world with LCN.

It is now possible to send commands via telnet to IP devices with a key-button or a transponder. You can turn LCD projectors on or off with a light switch at any point in the building. Interesting application possibilities arise out of being able to start a switch or router with modified configurations via LCN. If for instance certain transponder cards are set to the router configuration, not only can the access control be regulated and the lighting switched on, but the network connections can also be routed or patched depending on the ID card.

Via the Internet, the building central control unit [j]bow can also access foreign data sources. this allows the implementation of remote control via HTTP, e-mail or SMS. Public data sources (for instance the weather) can be used for things such as the regulation of heating systems. Important incoming e-mails can be signalled via light sequences in different rooms without having to use a PC. Via WLAN and an additional [j]bow module, the radio consumer's installation of the firm ELV can be integrated in the bus-operations. All radio switching modules from the FS-20 series can be integrated in this way.

Enhanced Functions

Client Software [j]longbow

[j]longbow is a client software for MAC/WIN/LINUX, with the help of which it can transfer commands from the LCN world to the standard remote control tasks of PCs/Macs. In this way, you can start any files on a PC/Mac (e.g. audio or video files) by flicking a switch at any point in the building,

The "Attentive Exhibition", or a museum as a place of learning

In the middle of Lübeck's old town lies the heritage-protected Willy Brandt House.

In the ground floor of 21 Königstrasse, the Federal Chancellor Willy Brandt Foundation runs a permanent exhibition about the political life of Willy Brandt, which has free admission for the general public.

The foundation was established in 1994 by the German Federal Parliament under federal law, and is a foundation under public law with legal capacity.

The exhibition aims to establish a gateway to 20th century German and European history, and to aid the public's understanding and appraisal of the course of this history in relation to the political biography of Willy Brandt.

During the formulation of the exhibition's concept, [j]karef GmbH was incorporated from a very early stage in the planning. The concept's development was shaped by both material conditions and specifications as to the exhibition's content, as well as findings from tourism studies and museum marketing, educational considerations, and years of internal experience from the permanent exihibition in the Schöneberg Town Hall in Berlin.
